A digital camera or digicam is a camera that encodes digital photos and videos digitally and stores them for later reproduction. The initial digital camera was invented in 1975 by Steven Sasson, an engineer at Eastman Kodak It mainly used a charged-coupled device , a form of image sensor, but initially used a camera tube for image capture. Digital cameras did not grow to be frequent customer electronic devices till the mid 1990s. Note: A digital camera could be regarded as each an input and output device (often referred to as an I/ device ) as it can each take photographs (input) and send them to your computer (output).
